I have stayed pretty much silent on social media about Caitlyn Jenner and her being awarded an ESPY. But I fully agree with Michelle Smith in this espnW post. If there is something I have learned thus far in life, it is that everyone is fighting their own battle, no matter how big or small it seems to the outside world. Also, no one has the right to judge anyone. The hate that still exists in the world today tears my heart apart, but all I can say is everyone has to fight their own battles and people should always choose to be an ally and be a part of their support system.

I have been on a cruise once in my life and I was in 7th grade -- no real need to train during my week vacation. However, Kristin Armstrong needs to train. I applaud her for knowing that she cannot run along the ship's track (I hate tracks, but I think I could do it) and running on the treadmill in the gym still gives her the creeps. If I ever get to go on a cruise again, I can't wait to try the ship's track.
My friend Katie sent me this article and we have many #relationshipgoals but when I'm 85 I hope my husband and I are this active. I don't know if I need to be running every race with him -- I love a good support team, but I know that I want us both to be able to do any type of physical exercise we want. Maybe I will run 50+ marathons with my husband, who knows?!
I have been a proud member of the New York Road Runner Club for as long as I can remember, and I couldn't be more proud than I am right now. With race costs sky rocketing, the fact that they are going to offer free bibs to people in need is great. I most likely will never qualify for a free bib, but it shows how much NYRR wants to continue to build the running community.
I have to admit, most of my races have been in New York -- I love the big city, the crowds of runners and spectators, plus a really excellent skyline. This article/column by Roger Robinson has really good insight into big road races and what they are all about. I know that I have chosen a mid-sized marathon to try and BQ this year, but I would love nothing better than to do it at a big city -- New York, Chicago, LA. If you get a chance, try the small town race and the big city, both have their perks!
I've recently graduation from college and am working on starting my career. This is the first time in my life that society isn't dictating that I go back to school in the fall. Maybe that is why I love running and the commitment it takes. No matter what happens in the coming years, I hopefully will have running to fall back on!
I have some crazy marathon goals, but to complete seven marathons on seven continents isn't one of them. However, Ted Jackson did just that. He might become my newest inspiration for my BQ.
Ever since I learned about Roger Banister running a sub-four-minute mile, I have been obsessed with people breaking barriers. Here is an interesting article on the sub-two hour marathon!
